२७ मंसिर, काठमाडौं : त्रिभुवन  बिमानस्थल आकर्षक बनाउने उदेश्यले ९० लाख रुपैयाँ खर्चिएर  त्रिभुवन अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विमानस्थलमा विभिन्न सुधारका प्रयास सुरु भएका छन् । विमानस्थल अस्तब्यस्त र फोहोर भएको भएको गुनासो चर्को भएपछि नेपाल नागरिक उड्डयन प्राधिकरण अन्तरगतको विमानस्थल कार्यालयले सुधारको काम तीव्र बनाएको  छ । विमानस्थलले यात्रु र विमानस्थलको सुरक्षालाई ध्यानमा राख्दै आन्तरिक उडानतर्फ अन्तर्राष्ट्रयस्तरको नयाँ सुरक्षा जाँच केन्द्र स्थापना गरेको छ ।

India : Two terrorists were killed in an overnight encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore.  Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Brath Kalan area of Sopore in Baramulla district on Wednesday evening following information about presence of terrorists there, an Army official said. Two terrorists have been killed, the official said, adding the operation was still in progress. The troops of 179 Battalion of CRPF, Special Operation Group (SOG), 22 RR, CRPF Range Quick Action Team, Baramulla, carried out the operation.

Each year we receive reports from pilots who are distracted or temporarily blinded by residential laser-light displays. You might not realize this, but a well-meaning attempt to spread holiday cheer has the potential to create a serious safety risk to pilots and their passengers flying overhead. With the holiday season upon us, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) wants to make sure your laser-light displays are aimed at your house and not into the sky.

So please make sure all laser lights are directed at your house and not into the sky. The extremely concentrated beams of laser lights reach much farther than you might realize. If we become aware that your laser-light display affects pilots, we’ll ask you to adjust them or turn them off. If your laser-light display continues to affect pilots, despite our warnings, you could face a civil penalty.

Laser strikes against aircraft continue to increase each year. Last year we received 6,754 reports of laser strikes against aircraft, a 250 percent increase since we started tracking laser strikes in 2010. Intentionally aiming a laser at an aircraft is a serious safety risk and violates federal law. Many high-powered lasers can completely incapacitate pilots who are trying to fly safely to their destinations and may be carrying hundreds of passengers.

२७ मंसिर, लमही  : ना ५ ख ४०९० नम्बरको बस बिहीबार बिहान २ बजेतिर ठोक्किए दुर्घटनामा बेहुलाकै आफन्त ४५ वर्षीया गितादेवी खत्री र चालक २१ वर्षीय यमबहादुर मगर घाइते छन् । बा १२ च ३१२२ नम्बरको स्कारपियो जीप र महेन्द्रनगरबाट काठमाडौंतर्फ जाँदै गरेको यात्रु बस आपसमा ठोक्किँदा बेहुलाका आमा-बुवासहित ६ जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ । बेहुला र बेहुली भने अर्काे गाडीमा थिए । मृत्यु हुनेहरुमा राप्ती सोनारी गाउँपालिका वडा नम्बर ८ निवासी ५३ वर्षीय मानबहादुर केसी, ४५ वर्षीया विमला खत्री, ४९ वर्षीय विश्वनाथ अधिकारी, ५ वर्षीय प्रविण केसी, ३१ वर्षीय दीपककुमार खड्का र बाँकेको कोहलपुर नगरपालिका १२ निवासी ७८ वर्षीय दत्तबहादुर खत्री रहेको इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय अमिलियाले  जनाएको छ । मानबहादुर केसी र विमला खत्रीको  मृत्यु भएको छ । स्रोत : onlinekhabar.com

दिपक न्यौपाने, काठमाडौं :  नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंक र अर्थ मन्त्रालयले संयुक्तरुपमा गृहकार्य गर्दै वित्तीय संस्थाले बचतमा दिने ब्याज दर घटाउँदै ऋणको ब्याज ११/१२ प्रतिशतभन्दा माथि जान नदिने गरि काम थालेको छ। कर्जाको ब्याजदरमा उच्च वृद्धि भएपछि अर्थमन्त्रालयले आयात नीतिमै परिवर्तन गर्न खोजेको छ। चतमा दिइने ब्याजमै ‘क्याप’ लगाउने तयारी भइरहेको नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले जनाएको छ ।   उत्पादनशील र रोजगारी वृद्धिको क्षेत्रमा न्यून ब्याजदरको कर्जा उपलब्ध हुने अवस्थाका लागि हस्तक्षेप जरुरी देखिएको छ ।
सरकारको यो कदमपछि बैंक तथा वित्तीय संस्थाले मुद्दती निक्षेपमा अधिकतम ९.९ प्रतिशत भन्दा धेरै ब्याज दिन पाउँदैनन्। बचत खाताको ब्याज मुद्दति निक्षेपभन्दा कमै हुन्छ।  बैंकहरुको स्रोत लागत ७/८ प्रतिशतभन्दा माथि हुँदैन र ऋण ११/१२ प्रतिशतमै पाइने हुन्छ।  पुँजी बजारको समस्या समाधान सुझाव समितिको प्रतिवेदनमा बस्तुहरुको आयातमा परिमाणात्मक बन्देज लगाउन खोजिरहेको छ। वित्तीय स्रोतलाई अर्थतन्त्रको गुणात्मक विकासमा सहयोग गर्ने गरी परिचालन गर्न ब्याजदरलाई सीमित घेराभन्दा माथि जान दिन नहुने अर्थमन्त्रालय र नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकको निश्कर्ष छ। राष्ट्र बैंकले आयात नियन्त्रण गर्नका लागि प्रतितपत्र खोल्न कडाइ गर्ने भएको छ।

काठमाडौं :  ०७४–७५ मा भारतबाट दुई अर्ब १५ करोड रुपैयाँको कागती आयात भएको छ। एक वर्षमै करिब दुई अर्ब रुपैयाँको कागती आयात भएको छ। सरकारले कृषि तथा कृषिजन्य वस्तुमा आत्मनिर्भर बन्ने घोषणा गरिरहँदा मुलुकमा  राष्ट्रिय फलफूल विकास कागती सुन्तला जातमा पर्ने फलफूल हो।  तरकारी, फलफूलमात्र नभएर मुलुकमा १६ लाख मेट्रिक टन खाद्यान्न अपुग छ। कृषि तथा पशुपक्षी विकास मन्त्रालयका अनुसार गत वर्ष चामल, मकै, गहुँ, कोदोलगायत खाद्यान्न मात्र १५ लाख ५७ हजार ९ सय ४५ मेट्रिक टन आयात भएको थियो। वर्षेनी जनसंख्या वृद्धिसँगै खाद्यान्न अपुग हुँदै गएको छ।

भन्सार विभागका अनुसार चालु आर्थिक वर्षको कात्तिकसम्म करिब २५ करोड रुपैयाँको कागती आयात भएको देखिन्छ। धनियाँदेखि खाद्यान्नसम्म विदेशी उत्पादनकै भर पर्नुपर्ने अवस्था छ। चालु आवको चार महिनामा नौ अर्ब ४० करोड ४७ लाख ६० हजार रुपैयाँ मूल्यबराबरको तरकारी मात्र आयात भएको छ। कृषिजन्य वस्तुको आयात बढेपछि मुलुकको व्यापारघाटा पनि अकासिएको छ। व्यापार तथा निकासी प्रवद्र्धन केन्द्रका अनुसार आर्थिक वर्ष ०७५–७६ को पहिलो चार महिनामा व्यापारघाटा चार खर्ब ५४ अर्ब रुपैयाँ पुगेको छ।

२६ मंसिर, जनकपुरधाम: अहिले जनकपुर क्षेत्रलाई विशेष रुपमा सिंगारिएको छ ।  सांस्कृतिक नगरी जनकपुरधाममा आज विवाह पञ्चमी महोत्सव हुँदैछ । सीताको जन्मस्थल जनकपुरमा जन्ती आउने गर्दछन् । बिहेका लागि रामको जन्मस्थल अयोध्याबाट  आजै स्वयम्बर गरेर डोली लिई जन्तीहरु अयोध्या फर्किने गर्छन् । यसलाई हरेक वर्ष मंसिर शुक्ल पञ्चमीका दिन उत्सवको रुपमा मनाउने गरिएको छ । नकी मन्दिर, मुख्यमन्त्री निवास, रंगभूमि मैदान लगायका स्थानमा उज्यालो प्रकाशको व्यवस्था र झिलिमिली पारिएको छ ।  राम-सीताको विवाह महोत्सवमा सहभागी मुख्यमन्त्री योगी आदित्यनाथ जन्ती लिएर जनकपुर आउँदैछन् ।

Every day since the age of seven, Rajan Chhetri (name changed), 27, who is living in a rent at Kathmandu, sat from sunrise to sunset on the bank of Bagmati river in Pashupatinath temple, one of the holiest shrines of Hindus across the world, with a shovel and rope tied old coffin box to collect gold, coins and burnt “black” firewood from the polluted water.

Rajan has been sifting sand from river using the shovel to search for ornaments and coins that worshipper, generally relatives of the dead, offer to the river on a daily basis. Rajan was lost in Kathmandu valley when he was six or seven years old. Then after, one of my friends took me to the bank of Bagmati river and we started the job from our early life, he said.

He is among several men and kids who search gold, coins and woods thrown into the river. Rajan is at work every day from 6am to 6pm.

“I can earn around 100 to 150 coins, little amount of gold everyday and my family is quite happy with my efforts. We are basking on the ground where cremations of dead bodies take place at the Aryaghat (cremation site),” he said.

Originally from outside Kathmandu valley, he has no father and mother. He feeds his three children and wife relying on the odd jobs that don’t pay enough. “I am facing difficulties to maintain livelihood of my family. Though I worked hard for the whole day, I will be worried about managing two square meals for a day,” he says. “One day I had found a burnt golden ring worth Rs 22, 000 in the river. “That day was my best day ever,”

A person who looked like a monitor of the job said that reward can be huge if they find the treasure, but it’s very rare. “It was the incident after the devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015. I don’t remember the exact day now, almost a year ago a body was brought to the aryaghat for funeral processions. At that time, one of our friends had found Rs 50, 000 in the clothes which was thrown into the river. It was the clothes of a man who was buried with that amount in his pocket. “It was a bundle of Rs 500,” he said showing his stained-yellowed teeth, adding that he distributed the money to six or seven persons in a group.

These men informed that they will be benefitted during the cremation process of highly dignified persons. “There will be chances of finding many gold or silver coins with other valuables in the river after funeral processions of ministers, former ministers and other well-connected people,” they said.

People observed taking interest while these men search for gold, coins and burnt woods on the bank of the river. “There are separate groups of 8 to 10 persons who searched coins and gold on a daily basis. Some of them even come here riding their motorbikes in the evening. They open their clothes and enter inside the river below the cremation site and search gold and coins,” said Ishanath Aghori Baba, a disciple of Yogiraj Dr Ramnath Aghori Baba, who is living in Pashupati premises for the past 50 years.

According to the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), they have no relation with coin collectors and treasure hunters. People who dig inside river have been degrading the infrastructures of  aryaghat. People say there is also a boss of such groups, however, we have not identified them,” said a member secretary of the PADT Govinda Tandan, informing that they are restricting them to search coins and gold in the river.

Rather than searching burnt ornaments and coins, treasure hunters are involved in collecting black firewood from the river. “We used to make Rs 3, 000 every week in the past,” said Rajan, adding that they are collecting little black firewood after the electric cremation started in Pashupati.

These days, people involved in collecting black firewood said they are hardly making Rs 3, 000 within 10 to 15 days. According to the sources, many brick kilns are purchasing black firewood in about Rs 12, 000 per trip vehicle.

“I have no more desire to do this job. I have a dream to receive a driver license and drive vehicles in the city. However, I have to continue this job as there are no alternatives. Anyhow, I have to feed my family in the evening,” says Rajan.

त्रेता युगमा जनकपुरमा भगवान राम र  सीताबीच विवाह भएको स्मरणमा प्रत्येक वर्ष सप्ताहव्यापी रुपमा धुमधामसँग रामजानकी विवाह पञ्चमी महोत्सव मनाइन्छ ।जनकपुरमा धुमधामसँग मनाइले सप्ताहव्यापी सीताराम विवाह पञ्चमी महोत्सव शुक्रबारबाट विधिवत रुपमा शुरु भएको छ । विवाह पञ्चमी महोत्सवमा सहभागी हुन श्रद्धालुभक्तजन एवं दर्शनार्थीहरु  जनकपुर आउने क्रम जारी रहेको छ । सप्ताहव्यापी रुपमा मनाइने रामजानकी विवाह पञ्चमी महोत्सव यस वर्ष मंसिर २१ गतेबाट विधिवत रुपमा शुरुभएको छ। महोत्सवको पहिलो दिन मंसिर २१ गते जनकपुर नगर दर्शन, दोस्रो दिन मंसिर २२ गते फूलबारी लीला, तेस्रो दिन मंसिर २३ गते धनुष यज्ञ, चौथो दिन मंसिर २४ गते तीलकोत्सव, पाँचौ दिन मंसिर २५ गते मटकोर र छैठो दिन मंसिर २६ गते रामसीता स्वयंवर तथा विवाह कार्यक्रम हुने छ ।महोत्सवको अन्तिम दिन मंसिर २७ गते रामकलेवा गरी जन्तीको बिदाई गरेपछि विवाह पञ्चमी महोत्सवको विधिवत समापन हुने गर्दछ ।
