काठमाडौं : पछिल्लो २४ घण्टामा काठमाडौं उपत्यकामा थप २९८ जनामा कोरोना भाइरस (कोभिड-१९) संक्रमण पुष्टि भएको छ। काठमाडौंका १९० जना, भक्तपुरका ४१ जना र ललितपुरका ६७ जनामा कोरोना भाइरस संक्रमण देखिएको छ।  उपत्यकाका विभिन्न प्रयोगशालामा गरिएको परीक्षणमा थप २९८जनामा कोरोना पुष्टि भएको स्वास्थ्य तथा जनसंख्या मन्त्रालयका प्रवक्ता डा. जागेश्वर गौतमले जानकारी दिए।

TUI Flight 6215 from Zante to Cardiff, the capital of Wales had 7 confirmed COVID-19 cases after this flight on August 25. The entire flight of passengers has been forced to self-isolate after seven people on the flight tested positive for coronavirus.

Everyone who was on the flight is now being ordered to self-isolate at home – reports Wales Online.Passengers will be contacted shortly but, meanwhile, they must self-isolate at home as they may become infectious even without developing symptoms. Anyone with symptoms should book a test without delay is the official message

Meanwhile, Amadeus’ Guest Management Solutions will provide Sunway Hotels & Resorts with a 360-degree overview of their guest profiles through a streamlined and consolidated view of the guest database. This view allows its hotels to personalize each touchpoint of the guest journey and uncover more opportunities. For instance, a hotel can target guests with effective, tailored communications to deliver personalized offers or upgrades. They can also suggest local itineraries to help provide unique experiences. The Department of Customer Services announced today that Honolulu City Lights will scale down this year’s festivities in an effort to eliminate crowds to support minimizing coronavirus outbreaks.

The scaled-down version of the 2020 Honolulu City Lights program will feature holiday decorations fronting Honolulu Hale and along King Street for drive-by enjoyment. Key features will include the traditional 50-foot tree, Shaka Santa with Tutu Mele, and other large illuminated displays in celebration of the holiday season.

Among the activities that have been canceled for the 36th year of the event are: opening night festivities, including Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s tree lighting ceremony; the holiday concert, and the public workers electric light parade. Other activities suspended for the duration of the event include the beloved department tree display in the courtyard and the public wreath display in Lane Gallery as well as all vendor booths and rides; nonprofit exhibits; and in-person photos with Santa.

Saint Lucia’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic in ensuring a safe and strategic approach to the reopening of the economy, is receiving rave reviews the world over. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has now reduced Saint Lucia’s COVID-19 rating to the lowest, Level 1, as one of only eight countries globally, noting that “over the last 28 days, new cases of COVID-19 in Saint Lucia decreased or stabilized.”

Saint Lucia welcomed its first commercial flight on July 9, with a measure of strictly enforced protocols in place which include pretesting within seven days of arrival in the destination, mandatory screening on arrival, use of certified taxis and hotels, a 14-day quarantine period for non-bubble countries, the wearing of masks in public and observing physical distancing.
