१२ औँ गणतन्त्र दिवसका उपलक्ष्यमा जेठ १५ गते लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र स्थापनार्थ महत्वपूर्ण योगदान गरेको मानव अधिकार तथा शान्ति समाजद्वारा आयोजित लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्रको आधार : प्रेस स्वतन्त्रता र मानव अधिकार विषयक प्रवचन कार्यक्रममा यहाँलाई आमन्त्रण गर्दछु । कार्यक्रममा नेकपाका प्रवक्ता नारायणकाजी श्रेष्ठ प्रकाश, नेपाली कांग्रेसका केन्द्रीय सदस्य गगन थापासहित राजनीतिक समाजका प्रतिनिधिहरु, लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र स्थापनार्थ महत्वपूर्ण योगदान गर्ने नागरिक आन्दोलनका अगुवाहरु डा. देवेन्द्रराज पाण्डे, कृष्ण पहाडी, श्याम श्रेष्ठ, अर्जुन पराजुलीसहित अग्रज पत्रकारहरुले मन्तव्य व्यक्त गर्नुहुने छ ।

Deepak Neupane, Kathmandu : Coconut oil is one of those foods that gets a lot of attention and sparks a lot of debates. While some health experts call it a superfood with a unique combination of fatty acids that support wellness, others have gone so far as to label coconut oil “poison.” How can you tell who to believe?

Well, like so many heated debates, the reality is somewhere in the middle. It is true that populations that eat a lot of it tend have a lower incidence of heart disease than those that don’t. However, it is also true that coconut oil contains about 80% saturated fat, more than even red meat at 50% saturated fat. Too much saturated fat in the diet leads to cardiovascular issues, including heart disease. The medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) in coconut oil are credited with increasing the number of calories you can burn. One study found that ingesting 15-30 grams of MCTs each day bumps up energy expenditure (calorie burn) by 5%. When you’re trying to shed pounds, any extra burn can help. And that’s the key to making the best of a diet high in MCTs – it has to be done in conjunction with a reduction in carbs and even better, an exercise regimen.

बीरगञ्जको बाइपास रोडमा घरको जग खन्ने क्रममा माटोको ढिस्कोले पुरिएर २ जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ । प्रहरीका अनुसार पुरिएर ५० वर्षका दशरथ पण्डित र५० बर्षका जवाहिर रामको मृत्यु भएको जानकारी दिएको छ । जग खन्दै गर्दा खसेको ढिस्कोमा तीन जना पुरिएका थिए । उनीहरुलाई तत्काल उपचारका लागि अस्पताल लगिए पनि दुई जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ ।

भोजपुरको पानीट्याङ्कीमा आफ्नै आमाले खुकुरी प्रहार गरी तीन वर्षीय छोराको हत्या गरेको छ । प्रहरीका अनुसार बच्चालाई अचानोमा राखेर दुई टुक्रा बनाएको जानकारी दिएको छ । उनलाई प्रहरीले नियन्त्रणमा लिएर अनुसन्धान थालेको छ । प्रहरीका अनुसार पानीट्याङ्कीमा कोठा भाडामा बस्ने सूर्य थापाकी २५ वर्षीया श्रीमती सम्झना थापाले आफ्नै तीन वर्षीय छोरा सम्बोधन थापाको खुकुरी प्रहार गरी हत्या गरेको जानकारी दिएको छ । स्थानीयले हत्या गर्ने थापाको मानसिक सन्तुलन ठिक नभएको जानकारी दिएको छ ।

काठमाडौं : दुई वर्षदेखि धेरै रेमिटेन्स पठाउने सूची फेरिएको छ। नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले उपलब्ध गराएको पछिल्लो तथ्यांकमा वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा जाने नेपालीले आफ्नो कमाई पठाउँदा खाडी र मलेसियाबाट धेरै रेमिटेन्स भित्रिने गरेको छ। रेमिटेन्स कम्पनीहरुमार्फत नेपाल पैसा पठाउने देशको पहिलो नम्बरमा अमेरिका देखिएको छ। कुल रेमिटेन्समा अमेरिकाको हिस्सा ३१ प्रतिशतभन्दा माथि देखिन्छ। कतार, साउदी अरब र मलेसियाबाट सर्वाधिक रेमिटेन्स भित्रिने गरेकोमा अमेरिका र जापानबाट बढी रेमिटेन्स बढिरहेको छ।

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s youngest son AbRam Khan is celebrating his birthday today and he has turned six. The young star kid is the apple of the whole family and they leave no stone unturned in gushing over him even on social media pages. AbRam was born via surrogacy in the year 2013 and SRK shared first ever photo with him in 2014 on the occasion of Eid.  He shared a cute photo on his Twitter page and wrote, “Eid Al Adha Mubarak to everyone. May all have the happiness that life has to offer. The littlest one wishes you too.” Since then, there was no stopping for SRK to share adorable moments with his son, who is a spitting image of him and it’s undeniable. Not only Shah Rukh, Gauri, Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan also love him to the core and they all pose in the best way whenever being clicked.

१३ जेठ, काठमाडौं : महानगरीय ट्राफिक प्रहरी महाशाखाका अनुसार प्रहरीको गोलीबाट भोजपुरमा आफ्ना कार्यकर्ता तीर्थ घिमिरेको ज्यान गएको विरोधमा प्रतिबन्धित विप्लव समूहले सोमबार आह्वान गरेको बन्दको काठमाडौं उपत्यकामा आंशिक प्रभाव परेको छ । पत्यकाबाहिरका जिल्लाहरुमा भने उपत्यकाको तुलनामा बढी प्रभाव देखिएको छ । त्रासले पृथ्वी, अरनिकोलगायतका राजमार्ग सुनसान जस्तै बनेका छन् । महाशाखाका अनुसार, उपत्यकाका नाकाबाट कुनै पनि सवारी बाहिरिएका छैनन् । निर्वाध रुपमा सवारी नचल्दा बिहानैदेखि जनजीवन प्रभावित भएको छ ।  सीमित मात्रामा चलेका सवारी साधनमा कोचिएर यात्रा गर्न यात्रुहरु बाध्य भएका छन् । काठमाडौंबाट उपत्यका बाहिर जाने सवारी साधन बन्दको मारमा परेका छन् ।

Tourists are not expected to be among the 30 dead in Western Congo, where 200 more are missing after a boat sank at Lake Mai-Ndombe in Inongo, Congo  Lake Mai-Ndombe is a large freshwater lake in the Mai-Ndombe District of the Bandundu Province in western Democratic Republic of the Congo. The lake is within the Tumba-Ngiri-Maindombe area, the largest Wetland of International Importance recognized by the Ramsar Convention in the world.

Boats in the vast nation of Congo are usually overloaded with passengers and cargo, and official rules don’t reportedly include all those aboard.

Simon Mboo Wemba, the mayor of Inongo, said Sunday night that many of those aboard the boat that sank on Lake Mai-Ndombe were teachers. The mayor says they had traveled to collect their salaries by boat because roads in the region are so poor. It was not immediately known how many people were aboard the boat when it hit bad weather late Saturday. But officials estimate several hundred were on board. More than 80 people survived.

Back in April, another boat capsized on Lake Kivu in Congo’s South Kivu province, killing at least 40 people. While the Congolese authorities have said that 150 people are missing, and 30 people have been saved, the exact number of the victims remains unknown,

प्रहरीका अनुसार राजधानीको सुकेधारा, अनामनगर, लगनखेल र चन्द्रागिरी नगरपालिकामा बम विष्फोट भएको जानकारी दिएको छ । विष्फोटमा ३ जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ भने ६ जना घाइते
भएको छ । महानगरीय प्रहरी वृत्त, बोनश्वरको टोलीले ४ वटा कुकरसहित ७ जना विप्लव समूहका कार्यकर्तालाई पक्राउ गरेको छ । उनीहरुको साथबाट एक बोरा पुल्ठो र ३ झोला पार्टीको पर्चा पनि बरामद भएको छ ।

काठमाडौंको   घट्टेकुलोमा घरभित्र सिलिण्डर विस्फोट भएको छ । विस्फोटमा एक जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ भने एक जना घाइते भएको छ । प्रहरीका अनुसार विस्फोटमा घाइते भएका एक जनालाई वीर अस्पताल लगिएको जानकारी दिएको छ । के, कती क्षेती भयो खुल्न सकेको छैन ।कसरी विस्फोट गराएको हो भन्ने अनुसन्धान भइरहेको छ ।
