Tourists in Paris visiting the iconic Champs-Elysees Avenue and other major landmarks in the heart of Paris had to run for their safety tonight after 260 so-called yellow vest protesters were arrested, nearly 100 injured as Paris. The area in the center of Paris has been covered by thick smoke. Those protesting and pushed back by tear gas are people protesting against a new controversial fuel tax.  They called themselves ‘Yellow Vests. Cars were seen in flames.

Some Yellow Vests say police were eager to disperse them even before the clashes broke out. “We arrived in the morning and we’ve been tear gassed right away. We didn’t even do anything,” a protester told media. Hours into the clashes, Interior Minister Christophe Castaner tweeted that at least 1,500 “disruptors” were on the outskirts of the Champs-Elysees. According to police figures, 92 people, including 14 security officers, were injured and 263 arrested in the Paris chaos. About 75,000 people showed up for the Yellow Vest protests held all across France on Saturday. On Friday, negotiations to settle the issue failed after only two of the protesters’ representatives turned up for a meeting with Prime Minister Edouard Philippe. One of them walked out after he was told he could not have TV cameras covering the negotiations. A recent poll shows that despite the mayhem, two-thirds of people in France still back the Yellow Vest cause.

जी-२० सम्मेलनपछि भएको भेटमा नयाँ ब्यापार शुल्क लागू नगर्ने सहमति भएको अमेरिकाले जनाएको छ । चीनले भने जनवरी एकबाट कुनै पनि नयाँ ब्यापार शुल्क नथप्ने सहमति भएको बताएको छ । दुई देशबीच ‘व्यापार युद्ध’ सुरु भएपछि अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प र चिनियाँ राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिङ पहिलो पटक अर्जेन्टिनाको राजधानीमा भेटेका थिए ।  अमेरिकाले २०० बिलियन डलर बराबरको चिनियाँ सामानमा जनवरी १ बाट २५ प्रतिशत कर लगाउने घोषणा गरेको थियो । जबकी यो हाल १० प्रतिशत मात्र छ ।

Priyanka, who will feature on the cover of Vogue’s January issue, has revealed in the interview that they actually began texting each other much before their 2017 Met Gala appearance. Nick, who was totally smitten by Priyanka’s beauty, sent her this message on Twitter in September 2016, “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet.” Priyanka, who accepted being fiercely secretive about her boyfriends, alerted him that her team can read those messages and asked him to contact her on her personal number instead.  The two then met at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. “And I put my drink down, get on one knee—this is in front of a bunch of people—and I say, ‘You’re real. Where have you been all my life?’ Like, loud,” Nick revealed.

Chopra had a car waiting and a flight to India to catch, but that didn’t stop Jonas from suggesting a drink. And, Priyanka couldn’t turn down the offer.  A week before the 2017 Met Gala, the two met for a proper drink at the Carlyle hotel in New York. Priyanka invited Jonas to her apartment that evening – even though her mother Madhu Chopra was home. “We hung out for a couple of hours… he patted my back before he left,” she said. “There was no kiss. There was nothing,” he confirmed. “There was a back pat,” she said. “She’s still upset about that,” he replied. “Your mom was in the house! I thought it was a respectful first night,” he added. “It was too respectful if you ask me,” Priyanka sarcastically replied.

The couple made the relationship official with a traditional roka ceremony in Mumbai in August. They are set to tie the knot in Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace in two ceremonies – a Hindu one and a Christian one – on December 2. “People will need vacations after this wedding,” Chopra feels!  The article further revealed that Priyanka will be the first celebrity to wear a custom Ralph Lauren gown on her wedding. Lauren has made wedding dresses only for his daughter, daughter-in-law, and his niece! Meanwhile, Nick will dress as a traditional Punjabi groom with a customary turban, sword. He will ride in on a horse!

India : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday arrived in Argentina’s capital of Buenos Aires to attend the G-20 summit where he will discuss ways to meet the new and upcoming challenges of the coming decade with other world leaders, including US President Donald Trump.  The next 48 hrs will witness PM’s participation at the Summit as well as in many other plurilateral and bilateral meetings on the margins of the Summit,” MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.  “After a 24hr journey, PM @narendramodi arrives in Buenos Aires for the #G20Summit.  The Prime Minister was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of Indian diaspora at the hotel in Buenos Aires. He waved at the crowd and shook hands with the people in the hotel lobby as they raised ‘Modi, Modi’ slogans.

Dding another feather to its cap, ISRO’s workhorse rocket PSLV-C43 Thursday successfully injected into orbit India’s earth observation satellite HysIS.The Hyper Spectral Imaging Satellite (HysIS), an earth observation satellite developed by ISRO, is the primary satellite of the PSLV-C43 mission. The mass of the spacecraft is about 380 kg, the space agency said adding that the satellite would be placed in 636 km-polar sun synchronous orbit with an inclination of 97.957 degree.

The co-passengers of HysIS include 1 micro and 29 nano satellites from eight different countries. All these satellites have been commercially contracted for launch through ISRO’s commercial arm Antrix Corporation Limited. PSLV-C43, which is the 45th flight of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), is the ‘Core Alone’ version of PSLV. It is the lightest version of the launch vehicle. The 30 other co-passenger international satellites including those from the United States of America and Australia among others, will soon be placed into orbit.  The space agency had launched its latest communication satellite GSAT-29 on board GSLV MkIII-D2 on November 14.

The primary goal of HysIS, whose mission life is five years, is to study the earth’s surface in visible near infrared and shortwave infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum.
