Itinerary of Gokyo lakes Trek

This trek is popular optional trekking of the Everest region, who loves to explore peaceful spiritual areas. In two weeks itinerary includes all the major information of each location we discover.

Day 1: Fly to Lukla (2800m / 9187ft) Trek to Phakding (2610m/8563ft), 2 to 3 hours

Early Morning we fly to Lukla from Kathmandu then hike to phakding. We descending by agriculture land cross subtropical forest, typical Sherpa village of Chipelung, Ghat, Ghumela, and numerous stone scripted mani stone, spiritual shrine, popular Drangdaraic Gompa and Pema Choling Gompa along with a kaleidoscopic view of Kusum Kanguru and sacred mountains khumbila from the vintage. Day 2: Trekking to Namche Bazaar (3444m /11,300m): 5 to 6 hours

Day 6: Machheremo to Gokyo Village (4750m/15,585ft):5 hours

Hiking to the Gokyo village leads through the ridge of Dudhkoshi River valley, which offers Cho-Oyu, Kangtege, and Thamserku’s view. We cross the spiritual shires beyond the ridge of the Dudhkoshi river valley before reach to Phangga. Based on weather conditions, we hike up to the Gokyo Ri that offers the amazing view of the Himalayan panorama along with the pleasant, idyllic Gokyo Lakes. We further climb up to 4th and 5th series lakes have the splendid views Cho-Oyu ,Gyanchung Kang, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, and Mt Everest. From the north side has amazing Cho-Oyo Base Camp and Ngazumpa Glacier. Day 8: Gokyo Dole (4,090m/13,419ft):6 hours

DAY 10: Namche    Bazaar to Lukla (2860m/9186ft):6 to 7 hours

Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla is the last day of your trekking began with a steep descent, and mammals traffic was always at the safe side. Here, trekking passes through beautiful small villages such as the Jorsalle, Monjo, Phakding, expecting short ascent and continuing decent handrails of the Bhotekoshi River crossing it three times. Before reaching Lukla, you have to ascent a gentle slope for 45m to get to the final destinations. After a long day, you must deserve rest overnight at Lukla.

DAY 11: Lukla to Kathmandu

After early breakfast, hoping to get the first flight back to Ramechhap, flight from Lukla to Ramechhap takes 30. Then drive back to Kathmandu usually it takes 4 to 5 hours’ and then checks to Hotel and rests.

Day 12: Rest day in Kathmandu

Tims (Trekking Information Management System)

Tims is compulsory to require for all trekkers wishing to trek in Nepal. For Everest reason, Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality Lukla provides cost (Rs 2000/17USD). Ultimately the company arranges all the local paperwork.

Sagarmatha National park Entry Permit

The permit also required in all Trekking reasons in Nepal to obtain its cost (30 USD) for travel in Sagarmatha National Park included all Government tax(ticket also arrange by your company).

Ethics for Visiting Sacred Places

  • Always take permission before entering Monastery, Temple, and Holly places with the local governing agency.
  • Learn about respect customs in terms of attire, offerings behavior at the sacred places
  • Most of the trekking areas perform ritual people specially trained to perform rituals traditionally associated with the site. Ask before observing or participating in a ritual that is being performed sometimes; outsiders may not have to allow participation.
  • Respect local culture have different belief systems, sacred time. (for example, women may not be allowed to site ceremony during their menstruating)
  • Always take permission before taking photographs, video, and recording, even taking notes. When they refuse, leave them alone.
  • Stay on marked trail or walkways even in the temple, Shrine, and Mani walls.
  • Do not remove or move anything at a sacred site. Traveling at a natural sacred site such as a mountain, lakes, spring remembers that offering can take many forms.
  • Find your space and sufficient time to experiences the spirit of sacred sites and pilgrimage even at the crowed feel the reflection, contemplation, and inspiration.

Negative COVID-19 test results required for travel to Montserrat

The Government of Montserrat has expanded the pre-entry requirements for persons allowed to travel to Montserrat.

As of Sunday August 30 at 5:00am, persons traveling to Montserrat would be required to have a negative PCR COVID-19 test result, taken no earlier than seven (7) days prior to entering Montserrat. The negative PCR COVI-19 test result document must state the following:

• name, address, telephone number and email address of the laboratory which conducted the test
• the date the test was conducted
• full names, date of birth and address of the person tested for COVID-19

The following individuals are exempted from the negative COVID-19 test requirement:

• a child aged 12 and under
• a person entering Montserrat in circumstances related to a medical evacuation
• a person who has been granted permission by the Minister to enter Montserrat for the purpose of aiding with preparations for a disaster or after a disaster

Nonetheless, these individuals may be subject to screening, temperature checks and clinical examinations on entering Montserrat.

Along with the negative COVID-19 test results, all persons must still register to travel to Montserrat prior to booking their flights to Montserrat. This registration process requires persons to complete and submit the declaration form published on the government of Montserrat website. The form must be completed and submitted no later than three (3) days prior to booking a ticket to enter Montserrat.

The persons allowed to enter Montserrat are as follows:

• A Montserratian
• A person who holds a permit of permanent residence
• A person who ordinarily resides on Montserrat
• A person who owns a habitable house or home in Montserrat
• The dependent (husband, wife, child or other dependent) of a person who falls under the categories listed above, once he or she resided in Montserrat for any period of time prior to March 16, 2020
• A professional person who has been engaged by the Government of Montserrat, and has been granted permission by the Minister of Health to enter Montserrat, prior to travelling to Montserrat
• A member of the crew of an aircraft or ship
• A non-resident technician, once he has been granted permission to enter Montserrat, prior to travelling to Montserrat
• A person who has been granted permission by the Minister of Health to enter Montserrat for the purpose of aiding with preparations for a disaster or after a disaster
• Any other person, as determined by the Minister of Health, for the purpose of aiding in the suppression of COVID-19

काठमाडौं : सावधानी अपनाउँदा-अपनाउँदै कारागारमा संक्रमण देखिएको कारागारमा कोरोना संक्रमण त्रास बढेको छ। ठाउँ अभावले दूरी कायम गर्न नसक्दा संक्रमण जोखिम थपिएको छ। सुन्धारास्थित केन्द्रीय कारागारमा आइतबार थप ३५ जनामा संक्रमण पुष्टि भएसँगै संक्रमितको संख्या ४८ पुगेको  हो। (कैदीबन्दी, कर्मचारी र सुरक्षाकर्मी)को पीसीआर परीक्षण गरेको थियो। ५ सय ९४ कैदीबन्दी, २ सय ७ जना सुरक्षाकर्मी र ७८ जना कर्मचारीको स्वाब परीक्षण गरिएको हो।  विभागका महानिर्देशक द्रोण पोख्रेलले बताए। संक्रमण जोखिम बढेसँगै पछिल्लो समय कैदीबन्दीको भेटघाटमा रोक लगाइएको छ। विभिन्न कारागारका कर्मचारी, कैदीबन्दी र सुरक्षाकर्मीसहित ६४ जनाको रिपोर्ट आउन बाँकी छ। देशभरका ७४ कारागारमा २४ हजार १ सय ६३ जना कैदीबन्दी छन्। यो संख्या क्षमताभन्दा बढी छ।

कैदीबन्दीलाई अस्पताल र बाहिर पठाउँदा पीपीई, माक्स र पन्जा लगाएर लाने गरिएको छ। ‘सबैतिर संक्रमण फैलिएका बेला कारागार कसरी अछुतो   रहेन ।सावधानी अपनाउँदा-अपनाउँद संक्रमण देखियो’  ‘संक्रमण देखिएका कारागारका कैदीबन्दीको उपचार भइरहेको र अधिकांश उपचारपछि संक्रमणमुक्त भइसकेका छन्।’
