In recognition of his efforts for launching digital technology in Nepali media industry, Global Nepali Film Award has bestowed the accolade of Global Nepali Film Music Media and Social Award 2018 to Ramesh MK Poudel. He is a young businessman and media entrepreneur who has launched the first Digital TV in Nepal.  Prior to Digital TV, he also launched Dish Home TV and satellite TV in Nepal. He is also a dynamic movie producer who has produced two movies – Rajja Rani and Rudrapriya.

Global Nepali Film Awards is a project of Love and Support Foundation. In the award ceremony which was held in North Carolina, USA, 16 different categories of the award were given to various people in recognition of their distinctive roles. Dr. Arjun Kumar Karki, the Ambassador of Nepal and Chief Guest of the program, inaugurated the program.
