One Women Canada organized Fearless Women Summit-2019 in the Saint Peter University Jersey City. EDWON Founder, Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar, a renowned social activist and advisor to mayor of Jersey city, and six other eminent women leaders addressed the event. Last year. Dr. Bishnu Maya also addressed the Fearless Women Summit- 2018 in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Bishnu Maya is one among the most revered women leader in Nepalese women community. In recognition of her efforts and achievements, Louisville city in Kentucky State celebrates “Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar Day”. On Women’s day 2019, Society of Foreign Counsels in New York honored Dr. Bishnu Maya by awarding her for laudable role, efforts, and achievements.

Dr. Bishnu Maya has struggled hard to support marginalized communities in New Jersey. Besides supporting marginalized communities, Dr. Bishnu Maya has played an important role in establishing sister city relationship between Indrawoti village Nepal and New Jersey City USA. Because of her initiative and leadership in 2015 and 2018, New Jersey city council successfully passed the TPS resolution. Another remarkable achievement of Dr. Bishnu is her role in hoisting Nepalese Flag in the USA. On June 30, 2017, Historical ceremony for raising Nepalese Flag was organized in the office of Mayor Stephen Fuller. After the city of Philadelphia, Jersey City became the second city to raise Nepalese Flag.
