Silversea Cruise ship arrives in the Indian Ocean

The Vanilla islands of the Indian Ocean comprise of Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mayotte, Reunion and Seychelles, who are working together for the development of the region’s tourism industry. The Silversea company announced that their expedition ship, the Silver Discoverer, will now be based in the Indian Ocean effective October 2018 for a number of Inter Island discovery trips. Silversea Cruise Ships are known for their smaller sizes luxury ships for the discerning travelers wanting discovery in style and the Indian Ocean Region has now enlarged the range of its offerings with this new announcement.
For the last couple of years, the works undertaken as a united group have been paying dividends in the number of cruise ships now navigating between this group of islands and beyond. After a record year in 2017, with more than 43,000 passengers arriving in the region’s ports, this tourism sector continues to grow steadily.
