Rainy Day – Jessika KC

By: Jessika KC

Window sills

And wet hills

Is what I observe

Fragments of hail drop

And try to crop

Out the sunny moisture

Symbolizing the gestures of sadness

Is all it might reveal

But can’t you tell what it might conceal?

A dark past or a couple of casts

Of broken wounds

Or the empathetic tunes

It plays

The animals, it may not tame

But the melody is why I came

The darkness hides the message

And the passage of the hidden

Remains unfounded

Although the Sun takes a rest

And the rain builds its nest

The tears of the sky

Might have come inside

It’s time to appreciate

The less

Than rather take the test

For the same repetition

Ruining it’s own reputation

Alright to take the skies out of blue

And wait half past noon

For it to clear

And tear away the unhappiness it leaves

And watch the wet leaf fall

Taking its toll on the very day

Where it’s sunny

Wishing it would be rainy

The light under the Shadows

Entertains me

And contains

A deeper connection

Spread the love
